Diana Koala, MD

Dr. Diana Koala was raised with 3 younger sisters in Poulsbo, WA. She received her undergraduate degrees in Anthropology and Zoology from the University of Washington, then served in the Peace Corps in West Africa as a secondary school teacher for three years. She returned to the UW for her medical degree and to complete her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was a physician/partner with the Seattle OB/GYN Group from 1999 through the end of 2023.

Helping take care of her mom during her treatment for breast cancer set her on her journey into medicine. She enjoys taking on the entire range of women’s health care, from teen health up through the menopausal years. Her favorite aspect of her practice has been the development of long-term relationships with her patients, some of whom started as teenagers and are now having children of their own. In some families, she takes care of the grandmother, mother, daughters, aunts and cousins.

Dr. Koala has two adult children. She enjoys gardening, reading and volunteering.
